Turner provided preconstruction and construction management services for the construction of the state-of-the-art Emerging Technology and Entrepreneurship Complex (ETEC). The 246,000 sq. ft., LEED Platinum complex serves as a catalyst for advancements in research and technology development, housing university researchers, students, private partners, and business development services. To accommodate the combined needs of fast-growing new academic programs and innovative entrepreneurial resources, ETEC delivers flexibility, shared space, and various opportunities for industry collaboration. ETEC is comprised of classrooms and office space; research labs; specialty instrumentation facilities; an emergency preparedness situation room; weather research and instruction map rooms; business and technology transfer services offices; and conference facilities. Central to the building, two atriums sit at the core ringed with collaboration space including team rooms and conferencing rooms. Programmed spaces are visible in the atriums and highlight instructional spaces to the community. The complex serves as a catalyst for advancements in research and technology development - housing university educators, students, private partners, and offering business development services.
