This new jail and Sheriff's office replaced Bee County's existing facilities. It has a 148-bed capacity consisting of multiple occupancy cells, dormitories, single cells and separation cells. The facility is controlled through a centralized master control room, and a second-floor mezzanine staff area. The facility also consists of a full-service kitchen, infirmary, video visitation, public visitation, pre-booking/booking area, magistration area and recreational yards. The new sheriff’s office portion of this build includes spaces for administration, dispatch, patrol/CID, training, evidence processing and crime lab.
