Turner played a crucial role in delivering services for SUNY Buffalo State's recently revamped Science and Mathematics Complex (SAMC). This cutting-edge facility accommodates research and educational spaces, laboratories, as well as a greenhouse. The SAMC effectively centralizes various science departments, establishing a focal point for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) studies. Turner's involvement encompassed both preconstruction and construction management services.
The project featured an extension to the SAMC, a structure spanning 45,000 square feet, connecting the principal entrance and foyer to the three-story atrium constructed during the initial phase. The entrance area houses the Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium, alongside a café and comfortable seating zone. This ultimate stage introduced additional classrooms, a greenhouse, dedicated space for graduate students, faculty offices, and advanced research laboratories dedicated to biology, chemistry, and earth science.
