Turner provided preconstruction and project management services for Phoenix Citadel Mall in Indore, the largest mall in central India. The silver LEED-rated mall has one million square feet of space and was completed in 2022. The mall showcases a stunning synthesis of European art, design, and architecture.
The mall can be found on a busy thoroughfare just outside of the city limits of Indore and is designed to shine its brightest at night to lure in as many customers as possible.
The area feels open and bustling thanks to the balconies of all the restaurants, which look out onto the massive interior courtyard. The lot for which can hold an impressive 2,970 vehicles or motorcycles.
This unique structure is a Brownfield renovation, retrofitted using carbon fiber, structural steel, and new RCC members that were incorporated as per design.
Furthermore, the design successfully envisaged retaining 70% of the previous building.
