Türkiye office joined the global celebration of Earth Month with a series of events held at our workplaces and job sites. Earth Month, culminating on Earth Day, April 22, is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of protecting our environment and natural resources. The team organized several activities to promote environmental awareness and sustainability among our employees.
Our teams from all workplaces in Türkiye organized a Farm to Table Lunch & Learn event, where we prepared and enjoyed a meal made from locally grown produce. This event emphasized supporting local agriculture and making sustainable food choices.
Our lunch menu featured a variety of fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from nearby farms and markets. By choosing locally grown produce, we supported local farmers and reduced the carbon footprint associated with transporting food over long distances.
The Farm to Table - Lunch & Learn event was not just about enjoying a delicious meal; it was an educational experience that highlighted the role of sustainable practices in our daily routines. It encouraged us to think critically about our food consumption and inspired us to make more environmentally conscious choices in the future.
Our team came together to thoroughly clean our workplace and its surrounding areas. This collective effort not only improved the aesthetics of our environment but also fostered a sense of community and shared responsibility among our employees. Armed with gloves, trash bags, and a determination to make a difference, we tackled various tasks such as picking up litter, organizing workspaces, and properly disposing of waste.
To raise awareness about the importance of electronic waste recycling, we organized an E-Waste Recycling Event. Employees were encouraged to bring in their old and unused electronic devices from home and work, including items like computers, phones, batteries, and other electronic equipment.
The collected e-waste was delivered to certified e-waste recycling centers, ensuring that these materials would be processed in an environmentally responsible manner. These centers specialize in safely breaking down electronic items, recovering valuable materials, and preventing hazardous substances from polluting the environment.
In addition to the collection effort, we held educational sessions to inform our employees about the harmful effects of improperly disposed e-waste and the benefits of recycling electronic devices. We discussed how e-waste recycling helps conserve natural resources, reduces pollution, and supports the circular economy.
