Turner Building Great Wolf Lodge’s Greatest Resort

Located in Perryville, Maryland, the $250 million project, which plans to be completed and open to the public in 2023, will hold 700 family-friendly suites, an indoor water park, a family entertainment center, dining options, and conference facilities.

The ceremony featured Wiley, the Great Wolf Lodge mascot, dancing with invited guests and bio-degradable confetti showering the celebration after the big public reveal of the project’s renderings.  The State of Maryland’s Secretary of Commerce, local County Executive, and Town Mayor were all on hand to celebrate. Turner has been a proud partner on more than a dozen Great Wolf Lodge projects, including new resorts in Texas, Georgia, and California.

The project, which is being led by Turner’s Maryland office, will benefit State and local economies by driving tourism, encouraging further development, and providing job opportunities. The construction of the resort will provide more than 2,000 employment opportunities over the next two years, and when the resort is complete and open, there will be 850 new jobs available there. 

In his speech at the groundbreaking ceremony, Scott Bulera, Turner Vice President and General Manager said, “We are proud to be a partner in expanding the footprint – or in this case, pawprint – of Great Wolf Lodge across the nation. The whole Great Wolf pack, the design team and our trade partners, have been extremely diligent working through challenging economic times to make sure we make this project happen. Through this teamwork, we’re going to create an incredible destination.”
