Turner Construction Company celebrated the topping out of a new patient tower for Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland.
The seven-story patient tower, when complete, will provide much needed patient bed capacity for the existing campus. The project includes significant infrastructure relocation and a new access road around the existing emergency department to facilitate the construction of the new bed tower.
“We are so proud for this project to reach this momentous milestone,” said Derek Brown, Vice President & Construction Executive, Turner Construction Company. “Increasing access to healthcare will be a huge benefit to the people of Rockville and the surrounding communities. We want to thank our trades partners and everyone who has helped on this project, and we are excited to push towards the finish line.”
The 136,700 square foot tower is expected to be completed in the spring of 2025.
