Turner is the project and construction manager of the Aira Residence, which is situated on 130,000 square feet of freehold land and offers breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur City Centre. Aira Residence consists of two towers; Tower A and Tower B. Each unit comes with a three-car garage car park, a private lift lobby, and a smart home system to control the intensity of light, the air-conditioner temperature, and switch on/off electrical appliances with voice commands or with a tablet.
Tower A is a newly constructed 18-story tower with a sleekly modern façade highlighted with generous glazing, the composition of concrete, and aluminum cladding with lush landscaping that offers a discreet backdrop against it. This green development comprises 105 units, ranging from 2,700 square feet to 7,730 square feet with private gardens and sky gardens in-built for selected units and the penthouse.
Tower B underwent a massive made over to co-exist with the design of new Tower A. Completed in 1974, the tower is 17-story tall and has 64 units with an average built-up of 1,700 square feet. The tower with a low density of four-corner units per floor is taking maximum advantage of its slenderness with the interplay of modern façade texture consisting of glazing, concrete, and aluminum.
This project won the 2021 Engineering News-Record (ENR) Global Best Project Award in the Residential/Hospitality category.
