Turner Construction provided preconstruction and construction services on Phase II of the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business, Business Learning Community project, the largest of the School of Business's three-phased initiative. Located in the heart of UGA's campus, Phase II comprised the buildout of three buildings, Amos Hall, Benson Hall, and Moore-Rooker Hall, totaling 146,000 sq. ft.
The buildings feature the latest audio-visual technology tools to support a collaborative learning environment and to stay at the forefront of shaping the top business professionals in today's competitive market. Featured spaces amongst the buildings include the 5,000-square-foot Casey Commons, two 150-seat auditoriums, eight classrooms, the Benn Capital Markets Lab, a music business lab, team rooms, and an Au Bon Pain Café. In addition, the upper floors contain offices for faculty and staff of the undergraduate department and several graduate student offices, project team rooms, and seminar rooms.
A unique feature is two exterior split-level concrete staircases connecting the south pedestal paver walkway to the courtyard pedestal paver walkway and a courtyard connecting Phase II to Phase I.
