Turner provided preconstruction and construction management services for NRG Energy’s new headquarters, a three-story, 130,000 sq. ft. office building located in Princeton, NJ. The exterior wall is a key architectural feature that consists of curtainwall surrounded by metal panels. The curtainwall is three stories with unique mullion caps and profiles along with several types of insulated glazing units including vision glass, spandrel glass and wood-veneer glass. The glazing units all provide the required R and U values to meet optimal thermal and energy performance. This state of the art building is also focused on energy efficiencies and consists of many green features such as solar arrays, car charging stations, a green roof and wind turbines, and zinc metal panels that provide sustainable value and meet LEED requirements.
