Genmab Office & Laboratory Renovation

90,000 sq. ft. laboratory and office renovation in Princeton

This 90,000 sq. ft. project was an office and laboratory renovation on the 4th and 5th floors of a five-story building at 777 Scudders Mill Road in Plainsboro, NJ. The 60,000 sq. ft. office space received a new lobby reception area, 196 open office workspaces, 50 private offices, and 48 huddle rooms. The main feature of the office renovation is the two-story cafe. The cafe features an interconnecting staircase designed utilizing the Danish concept of “hygge” to provide employees with a cozy space for work, relaxation, and collaboration. The 30,000 sq. ft. laboratory space received 46 lab benches split between general lab space and a flow cytometry core and supplemental mechanical equipment (air handling units, exhaust fans, a boiler system, and a generator). This project also included polished concrete, and multiple green walls. Shaftway and mechanical piping coordination was required, as well as commissioning and validation. It achieved LEED Gold Certification.
