Rottet Studio
The 354-room DoubleTree Hotel at Allen Center underwent a major transformation and re-branding. As the C. Baldwin hotel ownership – Brookfield Properties – pushed the renovation of the 40-year-old property at 400 Dallas St. into the second of Hilton’s boutique Curio properties downtown. The project consisted of a 52,000 sq. ft. renovation of two (2) levels for the downtown hotel. Level 1 renovation included the main lobby, a large lounge, the lobby bar, a themed speakeasy, a high-end restaurant along with a full commercial kitchen, small retail boutique shops, and a fitness center. Level 2 included the hotel conference center, large ballrooms, and associated public pre-function areas. Turner performed renovations to the lobby and public spaces as two other general contractors renovated the guest rooms and exterior and hardscape respectively.
The C.Baldwin Renovation project was bestowed with the Houston Business Journal's 2020 Landmark Award in the Hospitality category.
