The Chima Steakhouse was a 20,100 sq. ft. fit-out on two floors in the Kennedy House Building in Center City Philadelphia. The first floor includes public and private dining areas, a bar and lounges, kitchen, loading dock, toilet rooms and an office. The second floor includes toilet rooms, an office, and mechanical spaces.
The project consisted of demolition; structural steel for kitchen equipment; mechanical equipment; revised stairs and entrances, excavation, concrete, and masonry for new grade beams at new entrance. The new entrance included a canopy constructed of laminated glass panels and aluminum fins over stainless steel tubes and back-lit wood panels with graphics. The kitchen equipment, millwork, and custom light fixtures were furnished by the Owner and coordinated and installed by Turner. The restaurant includes high-end custom millwork fabricated in Brazil, porcelain tile, and custom light fixtures.
