In January of 2024, the City of Columbus celebrated the grand opening of NexusPark, a revitalized facility that transforms the former Fair Oaks Mall into a vibrant hub for health, wellness, and recreation. This project, a collaboration between the city, Columbus Regional Health (CRH), and Turner, merges extensive Parks and Recreation services with cutting-edge healthcare amenities, creating a dynamic community asset.
The 175,000 square-foot complex features a state-of-the-art indoor sports complex designed for large team sports and a wide array of health services provided by CRH. The health section includes urgent care, hyperbaric services, and around 16 exam rooms for various sub-specialties. It also boasts a comprehensive diagnostic area with approximately 140 exam rooms, 20 exam/procedure rooms, advanced imaging equipment such as MRI and CT scanners, and lab facilities.
In addition to its medical offerings, NexusPark emphasizes wellness with a physical therapy pool, a gym for physical and occupational therapy, a nutritional consultation area with a test kitchen, and healthy lifestyle coaching services. This integrated approach aims to enhance convenience, accessibility, and promote positive lifestyle changes, positioning NexusPark as a central hub for improving community health and well-being.
