The Consolidated Rental Car Facility for Columbus Regional Airport Authority is built on 21.5 acres and is four-levels with 1,800 vehicle spaces in the Ready/Return Garage. A Quick-Turn Around (QTA) garage serves the rental car companies, where fuel stations, car washes and cleaning bays service the vehicles between rentals. The customer service building (CSB) will house rental car company desks for renting and returning vehicles. The project also included a bus washing station along with all necessary sitework and roadways associated with the project. The project launched with a $13 million Utility Corridor work program around and adjacent to the Rental Car Facility project site. The initial enabling work included the Cell Phone Parking Lot, owner’s trailers, and miscellaneous demolition.
