Dallas County Administration Facility

Dallas County’s Future. Built on the Historic Square.

Turner is currently providing Construction Manager at Risk services for the new Dallas County Administration Building in the Historic Downtown Adel Square. This two-story 54,000 sq. ft. building will be home to several county departments, include board and meeting rooms, training rooms, fitness spaces, county archives, restrooms, and other support spaces. The new building will house the offices of the Assessor, Board of Supervisors, GIS, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations and Finance, Planning and Development, Treasurer Auto and Tax, Recorder and Veteran’s Affairs. The design for the new building was created with input from a 12-member DCAB design committee, which included one employee from each department that will be housed within the new building.

The building will be constructed with bricks from local brick manufacturer Glen Gery. The bricks are manufactured with a combination of colors to match the Adel City Square aesthetics. The intentional siting of the new Administration Building across from the historic Courthouse will together form the defining element of the concept of single point access for citizens. The new building will include a special collection area to preserve and protect the most historic and important county documents. Additional Courthouse and County parking is also included in the building and will be east of the square.

As the first Construction Manager at Risk project procured under the Senate File 183 (SF-183) by Dallas County officials, Turner Construction was hired as a collaborative partner to help navigate and facilitate a successful preconstruction process and project launch. Turner has had the pleasure of helping several clients, like Dallas County, with their first Construction Manager at Risk projects. Through collaboration, communication and transparency, our teams continue to excel with this impactful procurement process in the construction industry.
