Science Center

Originally built in 1963, the Science Building is one of the original structures on the Henry Ford College campus. Due to age and increased usage over time, the building required a major renovation to provide a modern learning environment for students. In September 2011, Turner completed a five-month, 47,000 sq. ft. renovation of laboratory and classroom space inside the facility. In August 2012, Turner completed a new 19,000 sq. ft. expansion that features state-of-the-art labs and classrooms for new college programs in the life sciences. The project was designed to incorporate many green features. An exterior rain garden, at ground level, also serves as an outdoor lab as well as improves the quality of storm water runoff.
