The new Emergency Department and Entrance Lobby additions at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital navigate patients to urgent medical care and improved entry into the Hospital. Previous emergency department space was also repurposed to create new, advanced medical procedure and patient support services. The two-story, 185,000 sq. ft. Emergency Department addition includes 80 treatment stations and a 50-bed intensive care unit (ICU). 27,000 sq. ft. of renovations created new MRI and imaging space along with patient services such as Admitting, which also ties into the new Entrance Lobby addition. DMC Sinai-Grace is the largest of the eight hospitals that comprise the Detroit Medical Center and is an important medical resource for the northwest Detroit community.
