The Piedmont Natural Gas Technology & Design Center, located on a 2.3 acre site, is a 18,000 sq. ft. facility created for commercial appliance vendors to present their natural gas-operated systems to potential buyers located. Housed within 16,000 sq. ft. of indoor functional displays and 5,000 sq. ft. of outdoor plaza and pavilion workspaces, the facility provides hands-on natural gas applications in contemporary commercial and residential environments.
The main building includes open office space, video conferencing rooms, and two commercial kitchens both with prep areas equipped with natural gas operated appliances and adjoining assembly areas for demonstrations. All MEP is natural gas operated and the entire facility was also equipped with a natural gas efficiency and monitoring system. The lighting, exterior gas sconces & equipment, window treatments, and operable partitions are operated through an integrated Audio Visual system.
