Turner provided tenant improvement services for the new first class and joint business class lounges at Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles World Airport (LAX). The first class lounge was the first overseas Qantas lounge to be designed by renowned Australian designer Marc Newson and boasts high-end finishes such as Carrara marble, European oak, custom-designed Marc Newson furniture and custom hexagon patterned carpet, glass and mirrors.
The joint business lounge for Qantas, Cathay Pacific & British Airways captures the essence of each airlines brand, reflecting the true global position of the three airlines with a cohesive and sophisticated joint lounge. Through the development of unique and distinct zones — inclusive of a bar, buffet dining area, den with fireplaces, and relaxation deck — the lounge is a sanctuary within the airport environment, providing customers with a sense of personal space while functioning for peak occupancy.
