The St. Elizabeth Cancer Care Center is a massive, three-building (overbuild, new construction, and parking garage) addition to the Edgewood campus. The three-story, 70,000 sq. ft. overbuild (C-Tower) recently completed construction over an occupied five-story inpatient and surgical hospital wing as well as numerous renovations through the active, occupied facilities.
The overbuild contains 56 inpatient rooms and two added elevators through and attached to the existing structure. The crown jewel of the project is the 250,000 sq. ft. six-story cancer center. It includes a state-of-the-art compounding infusion pharmacy, laboratory spaces, consultation, exam spaces by specialty, demo kitchen, dedicated women’s health space, 58 infusion bays, Doterra integrated medicine suite, a new imaging suite, and an RTLS – real-time locating system to assist patients in their travels throughout the building improving the patient care experience. The parking garage is a 638 space – four level cast in place and post-tensioned.
