Tennessee Builder’s Alliance Holds Memphis Office Hours for the New Nissan Stadium project

Tennessee Builder’s Alliance Holds Memphis Office Hours for the New Nissan Stadium project

In June 2024, Turner Construction Company hosted the Tennessee Builder’s Alliance pre-bid office hours for the New Nissan Stadium project.

In June 2024, Turner Construction Company hosted the Tennessee Builder’s Alliance pre-bid office hours for the New Nissan Stadium. Held at the Memphis Sports and Events Center in collaboration with the Tennessee Titans and CAA ICON, this event provided Memphis-area contractors and businesses with comprehensive information on the project.

The gathering was a significant milestone in the realization of the upcoming New Nissan Stadium, a 1.8 million-sq. ft. multi-purpose, enclosed sports center with approximately 60,000 seats and 12,000 sq. ft. of community space. Plans also feature exterior terraces and porches with panoramic views of Nashville, making it a premier venue and a landmark for the city.

A variety of local contractors and businesses attended, all eager to learn more about how they can take part in the action. Key aspects of the conversation included specific bid packages available, the scope of work required, and necessary specifications. The presenters also discussed the timelines for different phases of the initiative, providing a clear roadmap for potential bidders. The question-and-answer session was a highlight of the evening, offering attendees the chance to engage directly with the project team. This interactive segment clarified many aspects of the bid process and fostered a sense of cooperation and mutual understanding.

The Tennessee Builders Alliance (TBA) is a joint venture between four construction management firms, including Turner Construction Company, AECOM Hunt, Polk & Associates Construction, and I.C.F. Builders & Consultants. United by their commitment to building a world-class facility for the Tennessee Titans and the City of Nashville, each firm brings deep local ties and extensive experience. With more than a century of combined construction expertise and a Nashville office for each partner, TBA embodies the community-focused approach necessary for the stadium’s completion. While Turner’s Nashville office is leading the initiative, their presence in Memphis since 1986 certifies a seamless and inclusive bidding process.

TBA exemplifies the strength and potential of collaborative efforts in the construction industry. Working with nearby contractors and businesses ensures that the development of Nissan Stadium is a true community – and statewide – effort. This approach will bolster the economy and create opportunities for a diverse array of stakeholders, reinforcing the project’s attentiveness to local development.

The new Nissan Stadium presents a significant opportunity for regional businesses to contribute to a landmark development in Tennessee, and the pre-bid office hours was a preview of what can be achieved when individuals come together towards a common goal.
