Turner Construction Company Foundation Releases Annual Report

The Foundation had a year of tremendous growth and made a major impact in the industry and for those in need.

Turner Construction Company Foundation is proud to announce the release of its First Annual Report, highlighting the foundation’s commitment to strengthening communities and fostering a mission of active caring, inclusion, disaster relief, and workforce development. 

The Foundation awarded $4.4 million in grants to more than 250 organizations in the communities where we live and work. Additionally, in collaboration with Turner Construction Company, La Isla Network, Chubb, Liberty Mutual, and FlatironDragados, we supported research to understand the effects of heat on construction workers, promoting their health, safety, and productivity.

One of the biggest needs in the construction industry is the development of the future workforce. The Foundation awarded over $2.5 million to workforce development initiatives that promote and advance careers in construction through hands-on training and college scholarships. An example is She Built This City in Charlotte, whose mission is to provide programming that sparks interest and builds pathways to careers in the skilled trades for youth, women and marginalized communities. 

The Foundation’s efforts in disaster relief were especially evident in 2024. Between hurricanes, wildfires, and mudslides, the Foundation continued to help those in need. Among the organizations supported was Samaritan’s Purse which aided hurricane relief efforts after Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Our team is excited to strengthen the Foundation to its greatest potential.”
