Enhancing Safety, Functionality, and Community Spaces

This initiative focused on creating secure, welcoming, and highly functional environments across the district. To strengthen school security, secure vestibules were installed at all district-owned buildings. These upgrades ensure improved visitor screening and controlled access, while advanced technology enhancements in main offices bolster emergency preparedness, demonstrating the district's commitment to safety.

Critical infrastructure improvements were also a key component of this project. At Kingsborough Elementary School, the playing field underwent full remediation to provide students with a safe and revitalized space for physical activities. A new bus loop and expanded parking areas were constructed to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion during peak hours. 

Renovated entrance corridors now offer a more welcoming atmosphere, while new playground equipment at multiple elementary schools ensures students have safe and enjoyable spaces to play and grow.
