The new Gardner Justice Center, situated on a 6-acre development, is approximately 33,000 sq. ft.. It houses the Police Department and Municipal Courts for the City of Gardner, Kansas. The state-of-the-art facility provides improved security, expanded training opportunities, and better records storage and evidence space for the department. The facility also includes a community space and emergency operations center. As a part of the construction of this project, the surrounding site was also developed, including public access parking and secure parking for department staff with a canopy roof structure to protect vehicles from the elements. The facility incorporates sustainable features such as energy efficient VRF heating and cooling, LED light fixtures, reflective roof system, and a rain-screen facade.
