Audacy, formerly Entercom, is a 60,000 sq. ft. fit-out on the 4th floor of 2400 Market Street. Originally constructed over 100 years ago as a car production facility, the building itself was renovated, reclad, and extended in height to become the new home of Aramark, as well as other companies, such as Audacy.
The program included: private offices, open office areas, broadcast studios, video editing rooms, production studios, collaborative spaces, conference rooms, phone booths, a performance area, HUB, reception, café, technical operations center (TOC), roof top broadcasting equipment, and a generator. The technical operations center includes a mini data center with a 1000kW generator serving the room, with two 150kW UPPS cabinets and a 225A parallel output cabinets that fee all of the IT rack distribution cabinets in the room.
Given the building's age and original industrial use, great care has to be taken to leveing the floors and working in close coordination with Gensler to ensure proper coordination between the trades to ensure level of finish met the client's expectations.
