The project was a multi-phase, 23,000 sq. ft. renovation of the occupied Park Central Hotel lobby at 870 Seventh Avenue. The success of the project hindered on Turner's ability to develop a trade schedule and work plan that would allow the hotel to remain fully operational during the repositioning. Ultimately, Turner, in conjunction with the hotel manager, devised a construction schedule allowing work to be completed during off-peak and downtimes.
The scope of work included a brand new reception area, group meeting area, full-service restaurant/bar lounge with a two-story media wall, boutique retail and food concessions, and a comprehensive conference center. In the end, Turner was able to complete the work on time and within budget.
