Turner provided construction management services for multiple infrastructure phases at Bridgeport Hospital including Air Handling Unit Replacements, Emergency Power Upgrades and overall infrastructure upgrades throughout in multiple phases.
The multiple infrastructure projects at Bridgeport Hospital included Air Handling Unit Replacements, Emergency Power Upgrades and overall infrastructure upgrades throughout the Hospital.
Specific scope included EPIC system tele/data infrastructure, HVAC and electrical upgrades, emergency power & normal power systems, two 2 MW generators, a new paralleling switchgear and a normal power substation. The Hospital's insufficient emergency power was replaced with a standalone Emergency Power Plant consisting of six enclosures prefabricated offsite. This approach significantly reduced cost and schedule and the Hospital's emergency power backup was brought up to 90%.
